“Thank you would not be enough to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience with MARA Agribusiness. I am a master’s graduate in agroecology from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

In the same year of graduating, in 2021, I visited Uganda to conduct my thesis work and stayed for five months. Mr. Boby (CEO MARA), was one of the collaborators in the project but more than that, a really nice friend. Mr. Boby and his team rendered a great deal of support during the entire duration of my stay. Their support with on-the-ground activities proved to be pivotal in the success of the project. Apart from my own work, I also had a chance to get to know Mr. Boby on a personal level.

The hard work he puts in and the passion for his work are something that is nothing short of admirable.

Something that is equally impressive, is the Aramah coffee – tastes so good!”

“Hi, my name is Ingrid and I’m an MSc student in the Agroecology program at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). I was in Uganda for a duration of 4 months to conduct fieldwork for my thesis on young coffee farmers’ perceptions of diversifying their production and livelihood from environmental and socio-economic perspectives. Looking back on my time in Uganda I’m instantly filled with joy and happiness. It’s an experience that I will always treasure in my heart. I learnt so much from all the farmers I met and was welcomed with open arms. Working with the Mara team has also been a great pleasure, and I’m grateful for all the support I’ve gotten from them. It’s admirable how much passion Boby and the team put into the business. Uganda is a beautiful country, and I can’t wait to visit again!

Wanyala nabi, Ingrid”
